Breadboards

A solderless breadboard is excellent for fast topology changes, but small biological signals expose its loose contacts, long jumpers, shared rails, and stray coupling. Treat the board as a temporary experiment—not the final analog instrument.

MYCOTUNE USE CASES

Prove the ESP32-S2 and ADS1115 digital connection

Test filters and bias networks one stage at a time

Keep electrode inputs short and away from digital lines

Use a single documented ground reference

NEXT BENCH STEPS

Map hidden rail breaks with a multimeter

Color-code power, ground, I²C, and analog jumpers

Capture noise with electrodes shorted

Move stable analog stages to soldered prototype board
